The Second Life Endowment for the Arts (SLEA), formerly known as the Linden Endowment for the Arts (LEA), is a collaborative initiative in partnership with Linden Lab that exists to celebrate, support, and promote creativity across the Second Life community. With ten dedicated regions, SLEA provides artists with the resources and space they need to explore their ideas and share their visions on a large scale.
SLEA’s primary mission is to award land grants to talented creators, empowering them to build, perform, and experiment in ways that reflect their unique artistic voices. Whether you are a 2D or 3D visual artist, musician, machinima creator, poet, theater performer, or someone with an innovative concept, SLEA is designed to help you bring your imagination to life.
More than a platform for creation, SLEA is a vibrant community where artists and art enthusiasts can connect, collaborate, and inspire one another. It is a place built on the belief that art fosters connection, sparks dialogue, and bridges diverse communities. Here, residents are encouraged to experiment, push boundaries, and showcase their work to a global audience within Second Life.
Everyone with a passion for the arts is welcome—whether you’re looking for a place to create or simply want to engage with immersive exhibits and performances. At SLEA, creativity thrives, collaboration flourishes, and every resident has the chance to be part of an ever-growing legacy of artistic expression in the virtual world.
